The Winston Center sponsors student-led projects and events that reflect and advance the Center’s mission. Students are empowered to explore ethical leadership, social impact, and innovative solutions to today’s most pressing challenges.

DEIB INITIATIVES

The Carroll School of Management is committed to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging. CSOM undergraduate students are invited to submit project proposals that promote inclusion and belonging in the Carroll School. Budgets up to $1,500 for initiatives ranging from six months to one year will be considered.

Applications will be accepted in Fall 2025.

Spring 2025:Taste of Cultures:This initiative brought together 10 social clubs for a vibrantTaste of Culturesevent, where each group showcased dishes representing their respective cultures. The Chinese Students Association earned the “Best Cuisine” prize based on attendee votes.

THE NEXT WAVE CHALLENGE

Undergraduate students are invited to submit their original ideas or projects. Participants will engage in a three-stage competition that includes idea submission, market research and validation, and a final pitch incorporating a fusion element. The competition challenges students to demonstrate creativity, critical thinking, and innovation under pressure.

The next competition will be held in Spring 2026.

Spring 2025:The grand prize was awarded toBranchOut, a friendship app developed by James Koonce, Josiah Kondo, and William Kelly.
